What is the nearest airport?
There is a small airport in Taos, NM and we are currently offering/providing a shuttle service to our guests that fly into Taos. Call for more information. The second closest airport is Albuquerque, NM, which is about a 3.5-hour drive during good road conditions.
What time is check-in?
Check-in starts at 3pm. You'll need to check-in at our office at:

What time is check-out?
Check-out is by 10am. Please return keys to our office at the front desk or if you leave before 8am, keys can be placed in the drop box out front.
What if I am arriving early?
We understand if you need to arrive early in the day due to flight schedules or driving conditions. We do, however, politely ask you to call us at 1-800-453-3498 and let us know if this is the case prior to your scheduled arrival. If we are able to, we will adjust the housekeepers cleaning schedule to accommodate but will need to be made aware ASAP. An Early Check-in Fee of 1/2 a night rental rate will be assessed for arrivals prior to 12 Noon.
How do I check-in if I am arriving after 5:00 pm?
Call us at 1-800-453-3498 to notify us of your late arrival and for our after-hours procedure.
Can I depart later than 10 am?
We require a 24 hour notice for all late departure requests. A late departure is required to be out no later than Noon and is dependent upon upcoming arrivals. If you find that you need a later check out than Noon then there will be a 1/2 night rental rate fee for the late check out time.
What does Red River Real Estate provide for our vacation home?
We provide several things for our guests to use! Things like toilet paper, trash bags, bar soaps, towels, linens, a ration of firewood (for winter guests), gas cylinders for gas BBQ grills, and we make sure there are enough kitchen necessities for as many as the house sleeps.
Suggested items you may want to bring to make your stay more enjoyable: paper towels, coffee filters, coffee, laundry detergent, books, board games, playing cards, puzzles, aspirin/ibuprofen, trash bags, and toilet paper.
How and when do I pay for my reservation?
You must have your reservation paid in full 60 days prior to arrival. At the time of booking, 25% of the total including tax is due as well as the travel guarantee(optional). The final payment is automatically processed with payment information provided unless notified otherwise beforehand. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, Electronic or Personal Check(Return Check Fee: $45).
What is the Travel Guarantee?
Call our office for more information. You have 72 hours from the time you made your reservation to call and add this option.
How do I get keys and directions to the property?
You will be provided with keys and directions to your vacation rental upon check-in.
Are there age restrictions on renting a cabin?
The person making the reservation must be 21+ and one of the guests who remain with the rental party throughout their stay. Parents, please do not call to rent for high school or college parties as guests will be asked for proof of age at time of check-in.
What if we have a problem at the cabin?
We are always here to help in any way we can to ensure you enjoy your stay. If you encounter a problem, contact our office at the number provided to you at check in. Our after hours contact is available for emergencies only. Just call the number provided to you at check in and make the appropriate menu selection.
Can we park an RV at the house?
Unfortunately, none of our vacation homes allow RV parking. For more information on where you are able to park an RV please call our Town Hall at 575-754-2277. If an RV is found on the premises, you will be asked to have it removed immediately. If an RV is found on the premises and hooked to the units utilities; you will be immediately escorted off the property with no refund.
Can I bring more people than a house will accommodate?
Due to fire codes and restrictions we do not allow people to bring more than the maximum occupancy for each individual property. Maximum occupancy includes infants and children. We do not permit the use of air mattresses, cots or other temporary sleeping arrangements in the units.
What happens if I leave something at the cabin?
If you accidentally leave a personal item at one of our units, please contact us ASAP or if we find the item we will make every effort to contact you and return the item, with the exception of hygiene or grocery items. If we do not locate the item before you bring it to our attention it may be irretrievable. Any item left will be held for 30 days from day of departure. After 30 days, the item will be donated to a local charity. No Item Will Be Held Past 30 Days!!!
Is firewood provided at the cabin?
Cabins with wood burning fireplaces will have a ration of wood provided(Winter ONLY). Should you need more firewood, there will be an additional charge. Firewood is also available during the summer at an additional cost.

Can I book online?
Feel free to use our real-time online booking system. Your dates are locked-in immediately.
How will I receive my reservation confirmation?
All confirmations will be sent via email. Please adjust your spam filter to add the domain https://www.red-river-nm.com/ and our email [email protected] to your list of accepted email addresses to ensure you receive these emails. You will receive a confirmation email within minutes of making your reservation, if not, please contact us at 800-453-3498.
*THE PERSON BOOKING THE CABIN MUST BE AT LEAST 21 YEARS OLD AND MUST BE EITHER THE PERSON, OR SPOUSE OF THE PERSON, WHOSE NAME APPEARS ON THE CREDIT CARD.
